Meccanostampi at the K 2025: where innovation takes shape

  • Press

At K in Düsseldorf, the future of engineering plastics is not observed from afar: it is touched. Pavilions filled with machines in operation, automated cells dialoguing with vision systems, materials opening up to new performance.

It was natural for Meccanostampi to be there, not only to see what’s new, but to understand how to translate innovation into concrete value for our clients’ projects.

The red thread of the edition

The red thread of the edition, Green, Smart, Responsible, confirmed three priorities that already guide our work: sustainability as a design condition, digitization as the backbone of processes, and energy efficiency as a competitive choice. We started from here, gathering insights that accelerate our path.

One of the most obvious themes isprocess integration: in the most advanced molding islands, secondary operations are incorporated directly into the cell. The result is more streamlined and traceable production, with rapid cycles and native quality control. This is exactly the approach that reduces steps and variability, and that we bring to the plant when we turn co-design into series.

We have also devoted attention to liquid silicone (LSR) in different areas and applications in various industries, including electronics, electromechanical, home appliance. High-precision dosers, dedicated molds, control and curing point to a clear direction: fully automated processes where repeatability is by design. It is a front we intend to explore methodically: co-design, process qualification and data to support choices.

Technology partners: beyond specifications, toward scalability

Dialogue with manufacturers and integrators brought a simple question back to the center: how scalable is a technology and how much does it stabilize the process? From 3D printing gripper hands that simplify operations to 100% inline inspection without slowing down flows, the answer is useful when it improves efficiency shortens setups and makes the promise to the customer more reliable.

Then there is a cross-cutting element that really makes the innovations seen at the fair effective: planning. High-performance technologies give their best when they fit into a flow capable of forecasting, synchronizing, measuring. That is why at Meccanostampi we work on integrated scheduling between Moldmaking and Stamping: excellent plants express their full potential with solid plans and reliable lead times.

What the market demands today

The market demands precision and speed as the standard and, together, increasing customization.

Here our integrated model finds full utility: co-design, precision molds, high-performance molding, automation and certified quality. Not a sum of departments, but a coherent supply chain that starts from listening and reaches the series with end-to-end traceability.

In summary, the K is not a showcase-it is a place to make choices. Some technologies are already mapped for targeted pilots; others will come in as part of our continuous improvement. The belief is clear: innovating makes sense when it improves the part, stabilizes the process, and makes delivery more reliable.

Listen, compare, select, and then go back to the plant to turn what we saw in Düsseldorf into repeatable, traceable, and sustainable solutions.
